Beautiful Ketchikan Creek
Fabulous Fiber Arts More is located above the historical Ketchikan Creek, adjacent to Ketchikan’s Historical “Red Light District”.
We are located downtown behind Parnassus books in the Museum Parking Lot.
The Hive on the Creek’s owner, Cheri Pyles, has had a love of beads and yarn for several years and has carried that love to a few different locations.
In 1997, Cheri Pyles moved her bead collection into The Dockside Gallery located in the Salmon Landing. She built her bead business and eventually ordered fibers to join the mix of beads, tea and art. From the Salmon Landing she moved to Mission Street and became Mission Street Arts and Febers. In 2009, The Point was born. Over time the yarn and beads moved to The Point. In 2014, as The Point grew into a popular art cafe, it was time to move the yarn and beads to our new location back in Downtown Ketchikan on the Ketchikan Creek at The Hive on the Creek.
After working at The Hive on the Creek since its opening in 2014, Nancy Elkins and Robin Ashcraft purchased The Hive from Cheri Pyles.
So, Fabulous Fiber Arts and More was born November 1st, 2018.
